Description: The "Tag" was born in the poor suburbs of New York (Bronx, Harlem, Brooklyn) in the 70's, as form of identification and bording gang territories. Nowadays this form of expression, although still illegal, gained acceptance by youth and was transformed in affirmation and critic in the image's society. This work reflects in an analogy form the "Tag" in itself, because the author forces it in an equal form over urban scenes, by it's capture and framing through transparent surfaces where it can be found.
* In slang used by taggers and graffiters, toys are the beginners, in opposition to kings, the veterans. One thinks that the title 'toys' derives exactlly from the initials of 'trouble on your system'.

O "Tag" nasceu nos subúrbios pobres de Nova York (Bronx, Harlem, Brooklyn) nos anos 70, como forma de identificar e delimitar os territórios de gangs. Hoje em dia essa forma de expressão apesar de continuar ilegal, ganhou aceitação por parte dos jovens e transformou-se numa forma de afirmação e de critica na sociedade da imagem. Este trabalho refelecte em forma de analogia o próprio "Tag", pois o seu Autor acaba por impô-lo de igual forma sobre cenários urbanos, pela sua captura e enquadramento através das superfícies transparentes em que este se encontra.
*Na gíria utilizada por taggers e graffiters, toys são os iniciados, por oposição a kings, os veteranos. Pensa-se que a designação 'toys' deriva exactamente da junção das iniciais de 'trouble on your system'.
